Dominic Scelzi Back in Action This Weekend With World Series Sprintcars

Inside Line Promotions – LATROBE, Tasmania, Australia (Feb. 12, 2018) – Dominic Scelzi is rejuvenated and excited to return to action this weekend during a World Series Sprintcars doubleheader.

Scelzi and the Wormall Motorsport team will tackle Attwell Park Speedway in Albany, West Australia, Australia, on Friday before wrapping up the weekend with a race on Saturday at Quit Bunbury Speedway in Bunbury, West Australia, Australia.

“I’m really excited for this weekend,” he said. “I’ve never raced at Attwell Park Speedway so it’s always fun to see a new track and we’ve had a couple of good runs at Quit Bunbury Speedway so we have confidence going there.”

Scelzi advanced from 13th to an eighth-place result during his debut at Quit Bunbury Speedway on Dec. 26, 2016. Four days later he posted a fifth-place finish at the oval.

“It definitely helps returning to a track where you’ve been successful,” he said. “It’s been a little more than a year since we’ve been there, but hopefully we can pick up where we left off and be a contender.”

Scelzi has been out of competition since enduring a wild crash on Feb. 2 while he was in contention for a top-five result.

“It’s tough to sit out, but we had to rebuild a car and I needed a little time to heal,” he said. “Thanks to the hard work by everyone at Wormall Motorsport we’re good to go for this weekend and looking forward to the challenge.”
