Catch the Action… FS1’s live coverage of the Toyota Tundra 250 begins Friday, May 12 at 8:30 p.m. ET. The race will also be broadcast on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90. Qualifying for the 167-lap event will air live Friday, May 12 at 4:30 p.m. ET on FS1. Two practice sessions scheduled for 3 and 5 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 11 will not be televised.

This Week’s Toyota Tundra at Kansas Speedway… Crew chief Chad Kendrick will unload chassis No. 023 for Timothy Peters at Kansas Speedway. This Toyota Tundra was most recently in action at Texas Motor Speedway last November where Peters finished 14th. Friday’s Toyota Tundra 250 will be the first race for chassis No. 023 this year, and it was updated with a new front clip over the off-season.

Peters at Kansas… The Toyota Tundra 250 will be Peters’ 10th-career NCWTS start at the 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway. Peters’ first start at Kansas came in 2006 and he scored his first top-10 finish in 2012 when he finished second. Since that runner-up finish, Peters has been a model of consistency. In the last five trips to Kansas, Peters has captured two top-five finishes, four top 10’s, and has not finished outside the top-15.

Setting the Stage… Peters has excelled at collecting stage points through the first three races of the season. Peters has scored stage points in every race, totaling 33 points over the six stages thus far. Tallying that impressive total has netted Peters six positions in the driver point standings. Peters has consistently run near the front of the field, as evidenced by having the fourth-highest average running position of any NCWTS regular (7.538), and has been a direct contributor in accumulating stage points.

Season-to-Date… While he is still looking for his first top-five finish of the 2017 campaign, Peters’ two-consecutive top-10 finishes have landed him in fourth in the championship standings, currently holding a playoff spot. His consistent performance to begin the season is illustrated by his proficiency in numerous loop data categories, including a fourth-place ranking in driver rating (92.1), green flag passes (169), and pass differential (+18) among full-time NCWTS drivers. One of the categories most indicative of Peters’ consistency is his average running position at halfway, which is 5.3, and an impactful reason why he sits in the top five in NCWTS points.

Race Rewind: Martinsville… When the NCWTS was last in action at Martinsville Speedway, Peters captured an eighth-place finish after a long afternoon of full-contact short-track racing. Peters suffered damage in two separate on-track incidents, but ample repairs and a late-race charge yielded Peters’ best result of the young season. The finish vaulted Peters to fourth in the championship point standings, 30 points out of the top spot, and is shown fifth in the Playoff Grid.

We ran up front quite a bit in this race last year and with all the updates everyone has done to our fleet at Red Horse Racing, we’re looking to get ourselves a checkered flag this week and get our picture taken in victory lane. We’ve found our way into the top-five in the point standings with some consistency so far, but we’d like to start grabbing bonus points for the playoffs.”

This Week’s Toyota Tundra at Kansas Speedway… Brett Moffitt will pilot chassis number 018 in the Toyota Tundra 250. This chassis was last driven by Timothy Peters at Phoenix International Raceway in 2016 and it has since been refitted.

Moffitt at Kansas… Moffitt returns to the No. 7 Toyota Tundra for his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at Kansas Speedway. The 24-year-old driver has two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts at the 1.5-mile tri-oval, located in Kansas City, Kansas.

Red Horse Racing and Moffitt… Moffitt’s nine starts for Red Horse Racing in 2016 and 2017 have netted five top-ten finishes, with three of those in the top-five and one win.

Race Rewind: Martinsville… Brett Moffitt and the No. 7 Red Horse Racing team earned a sixth-place finish at Martinsville Speedway in the Alpha Energy Solutions 250. Fighting a tight handling condition on his Toyota Tundra, Moffitt was in the 17th position at the conclusion of Stage 1. Moffitt finished the Stage 2 in 12th-place, but stayed out as most trucks went to pit road and started Stage 3 in the third position. Moffitt was able to hold off several trucks with fresher tires and finish the 250-lap event in sixth position, picking up his first top-10 of the season and moving him into the 10th position in the NCWTS series points standings.
