Timothy Peters
No. 17 Red Horse Racing
Toyota Tundra

This Week’s Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park… Timothy Peters will pilot chassis No. 137 from the Red Horse Racing stable on Sunday in the Canada 250. This chassis was last used by Peters in 2015 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.

Peters at CTMP… Peters has recorded three starts at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park and has two top-10 finishes. He has an average starting position of 11.3 and an average finishing position of 13.3.

Race Rewind: Michigan… After leading a race high 42 laps, Timothy Peters finished second, and completed a 1-2 sweep for Red Horse Racing in the Careers for Veterans 200 at Michigan International Speedway. The 100-lap contest began from the fourth position for Peters, and he quickly asserted himself as the truck to beat, taking the lead on lap six. Peters radioed crew chief Shane Huffman that his Toyota Tundra was slightly on the tight side, and the team countered with slight adjustments on a lap 33 caution. The Danville, Virginia native regained the lead on lap 24, and would pace the field on two more occasions. Peters’ final stint out front lasted from laps 84 to 98, and he found himself in a three-way dogfight for the lead on the final lap. The ten-time NCWTS race winner would cross the line .098 seconds behind his teammate, Brett Moffitt.

Timothy Peters Quote:
On racing at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park…
“I enjoy going to Canada, I know road courses probably don’t seem like my background, but I raced them a lot in go karts. I’m just looking to keep continuing this momentum with two to go before the Chase for the Championship starts. Who knows, maybe we can get to Victory Lane in Canada and get a little bit of the weight of the world off of our shoulders so we can concentrate on this Chase.”

“I’m excited to go to (Canadian Tire Motorsports Park). I think this team has a great road course truck and they ran well there last year, so I’m looking forward to another strong run. Scott (Zipadelli, crew chief) and the Red Horse Racing guys have consistently put together great Toyota Tundras so I’m ready to head up north and get on track.”
