Timothy Peters
No. 17 Red Horse Racing
Toyota Tundra

This Week’s Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra at Kentucky Speedway… Timothy Peters will pilot chassis No. 023 from the Red Horse Racing stable in Thursday’s Buckle Up In Your Truck 225. Most recently, Peters raced this chassis to top-10 finishes at both Kansas Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway earlier this season.

Peters at Kentucky… Peters has recorded 12 starts at Kentucky Speedway and has accumulated four top-five and six top-10 finishes. He has an average starting position of 12.9 and an average finishing position of 13.0.

Race Rewind: Gateway… Timothy Peters fought his way to a tenth-place finish in a wild race at Gateway Motorsports Park. On Saturday afternoon, group qualifying was rained out, and the field set by the NASCAR Rule Book. Peters lined up for the green flag in the 21st position. Under the first yellow flag on lap 16, crew chief Shane Huffman called Peters to pit road for Sunoco fuel and adjustments, while most of the field stayed out. On a following caution flag, Peters was able to stay out, while the rest of the field went to pit road, gaining valuable track position and restarting in third position. The Danville, Va. native continued to battle the balance of the No. 17 Toyota Tundra, fighting a loose entry to the corner and a tight center and exit. Peters fell back, but fought to remain in the top-10, and after several caution periods and red flags at the end of the race, was able to bring home a solid tenth-place finish.

Timothy Peters Quote:
On racing at Kentucky Speedway…
“I’m looking forward to getting back on a mile and a half with the way we’ve been running on those tracks in our Toyota Tundra. We were really close at Texas (Motor Speedway) and Kansas (Speedway) and Charlotte (Motor Speedway) and built a lot of momentum. I’m excited to see the new pavement at Kentucky Speedway and hopefully we can keep maintaining what we’re doing and improve to get to victory lane.”

Brett Moffitt
No. 11 Red Horse Racing
Toyota Tundra

This Week’s Toyota Tundra at Kentucky Speedway… On Thursday, Brett Moffitt will race chassis number 020 in the Buckle Up In Your Truck 225. This chassis was last raced to a top-10 finish at Texas Motor Speedway.

Moffitt at Kentucky… Moffitt has one NCWTS start at Kentucky Speedway in 2013. He started in the 34th position and finished 14th. He also has one start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the 1.5-mile facility.

Race Rewind: Gateway… Germán Quiroga earned a seventh-place finish in the Drivin’ For Linemen 200 at Gateway Motorsports Park. A rain shower moved through just before qualifying was scheduled to begin, and the field was set per the NASCAR Rule Book based on practice times. Quiroga took the green flag in fifth position, but soon reported that he was too free in turns 3 and 4, falling back out of the top 10. During the second caution on lap 28, crew chief Scott Zipadelli called Quiroga to pit road for two tires, fuel and adjustments. After restarting in the 12th position, Quiroga reported that his No. 11 Toyota Tundra was very loose and on the following caution period on lap 69, he again visited pit road, this time for four tires, fuel and a wedge adjustment. He continued to battle a loose condition and would visit pit road again one more time for another four-tire stop. Quiroga was able to avoid several late-race wrecks to drive into the top 10 and secure a seventh-place finishing position.
