AT NORWALK THIS WEEKEND

Mooresville, NC (June 22, 2016) – Team Summit Racing drivers have extra pressure to bring home a 12th win this weekend at the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, Ohio.

In the first 11 races of the year, Pro Stock drivers Jason Line and Greg Anderson have won all 11 races and claimed 10 of 11 top qualifying spots. Line has six victories this season and Anderson has earned five.

“Obviously the pressure is on since this is a Summit Racing title event. That’s huge. So we need to do well,” Jason Line said. “All the folks that support us are going to be there and the team wants to do a special job for them.”

“It’s all about Summit Racing in Norwalk. Summit Racing employees will be there and without them, none of this would be possible,” said Greg Anderson. “Without Summit and Chevrolet we wouldn’t be out here. We love to show off in front of Summit folks and our team can’t wait to get there.”

Nitro Funny Car driver Tim Wilkerson is set to bring his new Ford Shelby Mustang back to the track. This is the car he crashed in late May in Topeka. Wilkerson and his crew have spent every spare moment working to fix his car and get it ready for competition.

“In the last month, Murf McKinney and his crew replaced the front half of the damaged chassis and mounted a new body on the car. The other body was damaged beyond repair,” Wilkerson said. “The crew has gone over every nut and bolt from the rear end to the front axle to make sure nothing has been overlooked.”

For the first time this weekend, FOX Sports will show the first two rounds of professional eliminations LIVE on FS1 for the first time. Plus FOX Sports will have a highlight show later in the evening recapping the entire race.
