SUMMIT RACING TEAM AIMS TO KEEP THE
WINNING STREAK ALIVE IN HOUSTON

Mooresville, NC (April 28, 2016)—Five races into the 2016 Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Team Summit Racing shows no signs of losing momentum going into the 2016 NHRA Spring Nationals in Houston, Texas.

The KB Racing duo of Greg Anderson and Jason line have dominated the Pro Stock class thus far with two wins for Anderson and three for Line. Anderson also won the prestigious K&N Horsepower Challenge. They want win six this weekend.

Many teams have struggled with the NHRA rule changes that include a new EFI system, rev limiter, and getting rid of hood scoops

KB Racing has a winning set up, but they acknowledge other teams will catch up, so the race isn’t over.

“As the other teams start to close the gap, we regroup and figure out what we need to do to up our game and stay ahead of the pack,” said Anderson.

The secret to Team Summit Racing’s success this season is testing and more testing. Even with Anderson earning the Number 1 qualifying spot at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals and Line winning Sunday, the team stayed at zMAX Dragway to test their Chevy Camaros all day Monday.

“There is no resting,” said Line. “The other GM cars are getting faster. They made big gains at the last race. We worked to make some gains too.”

Both Anderson and Line feel fortunate to be going into the NHRA Spring Nationals ranked No. 1 and 2 in the championship points standings. It’s something they don’t take that for granted.

“This is definitely starting off as a very memorable year for me,” Line said. “I’m enjoying it now.” Crew Chief Rob Downing added, “It’s the best.”
