A Double Bowtie Experience For Chevrolet Racing Display Fans at Long Beach
Combined Chevrolet display highlights Verizon IndyCar Series, IMSA

DETROIT (April 14, 2016) – Chevrolet Racing’s annual trip to the Grand Prix of Long Beach means track action for both Corvette Racing in the International Motor Sports Association’s (IMSA) GT Le Mans (GTLM) and Chevrolet teams in the Verizon IndyCar Series. It also means the best of both worlds with a combined Chevy Racing display for fans at the iconic southern California street race.

Each display will be open to fans visiting the Convention Center starting at 8 a.m. Friday through Sunday. Visitors can take their photo with specialty vehicles and products like the Corvette C7.R show car, a C7.R engine and a cutaway chassis of the Corvette Z06. A number of Chevrolet’s award-winning production lineup will be on display including the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro, Motor Trend’s 2016 Car of the Year; and the Colorado Diesel, Motor Trend’s 2016 Truck of The Year.

In addition, production models such as the Cruze, Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, Silverado, Malibu and Corvette Stingray convertible will be available for fans to see and learn more information from a group of Chevrolet product specialists.

There also will be an array of parts and accessories from Chevrolet Performance for a number of models including Corvette, Camaro, Silverado and Colorado.

In addition, adults and kids can participate in a number of interactive games including racing simulators. Fans also can fill out electronic questionnaires and receive a complementary Chevrolet or Corvette t-shirt.

“Having the IMSA sports car championship and the Verizon IndyCar Series on the same weekend is always a treat – not just for us but for fans as well,” said Michael Stouffer, Chevrolet Racing Marketing Manager. “Participation in both is important for Chevrolet, and it gives us an opportunity to highlight our commitment to both championships. Whether fans favor open-wheel racing, sports cars or both, they will find a wide variety of great Chevrolet vehicles and products to pique their interest. We have knowledgeable product specialists on-hand at both displays to answer questions and offer feedback to our fans.”

A number of Chevrolet V6 IndyCar drivers will visit the Chevy IndyCar display during the weekend. At 5:45 p.m. Friday, KVSH Racing owner Jimmy Vasser and driver Sebastien Bourdais will be available for fan Q&As.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s quartet of defending Verizon IndyCar Series Champion Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan, Charlie Kimball and Max Chilton will visit the Chevy display at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, April 19.
