PERMATEX/FOLLOW A DREAM TEAM HITS VEGAS FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2010

Marstons Mills, MA-October 29, 2015-Jay Blake’s Permatex/Follow A Dream team is headed to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend for the last leg of the best season in team history. Sixth in the Top Alcohol Funny Car national standings with two races to go – this weekend’s Toyota NHRA Nationals and the World Finals in Pomona, Calif. – driver Todd Veney is fresh off a career-best 5.51 in Dallas.

“If we can get the breaks we haven’t gotten at the last four races, we’ll be back in the Top 5 and we might just win another national event,” Veney said. “Las Vegas is just about the nicest track I’ve ever been to – a typical Bruton Smith-built track – and it’s been five years since our only race there, so the whole team’s pretty excited about this weekend.”

“It’s great to be this high in the points this late in the season and great to run out west again,” said Blake, who is parlaying the extended schedule into extra speaking engagements in new locales. “Things haven’t particularly gone our way lately, but we know how the car is running and what we can do. Everybody on the team has worked all year for this, and we’re ready.”

Qualifying sessions are set for 10 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Friday and 10:30 am Saturday. The first round of eliminations is scheduled for 2:15 Saturday afternoon, and eliminations will be televised Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. on ESPN2.
