Roush Yates Engines Earns 100th Xfinity Series Win

Mooresville, NC. August 8, 2015 – Roush Yates Engines powered to their 100th Xfinity Series win this weekend at Watkins Glen International with Joey Logano in his Team Penske FORD Mustang. FORD Performance Mustangs swept the podium in the 82 lap race as Logano wins his 25th career Xfinity Series race.

“I’m proud of everyone at Roush Yates”, said Doug Yates, CEO and President at Roush Yates, “I couldn’t be happier than I am now.”

Logano and Brad Keselowski would qualify first and second giving Team Penske a front row sweep at Watkins Glen. The teammates would lead a total of 79 laps in-route to a 1-2 finish for Team Penske. Chris Buescher with Roush Fenway Racing would finish third and maintains the lead in Xfinity Series point’s championship.

“It’s fun to have a car that fast out there and be able to race for the lead with your teammate”, said Logano in victory lane. “It’s cool to get these guys in victory lane.”

Over the last decade, a total of six organizations have utilized Roush Yates Engines for their race winning engines. In 2005, Roush Yates Engines began building Xfinity Series engines with Robert Yates Racing, Roush Fenway Racing, Wood Brothers Racing and Brewco Motorsports. Over the last 11 years, Roush Yates Engines has earned 100 Xfinity Series wins. Today, Roush Yates Engines supplies Xfinity engines for Biagi-Denbeste Racing, Richard Petty Motorsports, Penske Racing, and Roush Fenway Racing.
