BRITTANY AND COURTNEY FORCE KEEP TOP SPOTS IN NITRO CATEGORIES SATURDAY AT ZMAX DRAGWAY
CONCORD, N.C. (April 28, 2018) — For the third time in their careers, Brittany and Courtney Force have doubled up as No. 1 qualifiers at a NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event. Matt Tifft and the KC Motorgroup Team Show Resilience at Talladega Superspeedway Despite Cut Tire

“We can’t seem to catch a break at these restrictor-plate tracks. We had a strong No. 2 KC Motorgroup Chevrolet all weekend. My crew chief, Randall Burnett, and my team focused on race trim for this weekend, knowing we needed a bit more of that at our last plate race. I had no issues during the race, and we were able to run in the top 10 pretty much all day. It’ unfortunate that our result didn’t match it. I had a vibration with less than 30 laps to go, but we thought we could manage it to the end. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case this time and the tire blew with just a handful of laps remaining. I’m bummed we couldn’t take home the Xfinity Dash 4 Cash bonus, but we did earn some stage points in the first two stages. We’ll regroup and get after it at Dover next weekend.”

Paul Menard and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion will line up 13thfor Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Menard posted a qualifying lap at 191.486 miles per hour, which was just .018 seconds shy of allowing him to advance to the second and final round of qualifying.

But there was little disappointment among the Motorcraft/Quick Lane crew members because the team spent most of the two practice sessions on Friday getting their car tuned for racing conditions. Menard also slipped by the big wreck of the day on Friday, a move that kept him in his primary car for Sunday’s race. Continue reading Menard To Start 13thAt Talladega

FORCE SISTERS SWEEP NITRO TOP SPOTS AT NHRA FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS
CONCORD, N.C. (April 27, 2018) — Brittany and Courtney Force both currently hold the No.1 qualifying position after two rounds of qualifying at the NGK Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway just outside of Charlotte. Teammates Robert Hight and John Force are qualified seventh and eighth respectively.

The Force sisters will be racing on Saturday to double up as No. 1 qualifiers for the second time, they previously secured the top spot together in 2016 at the Topeka, Kan. event.

“It is a family sport and we love being out here together,” explained Courtney Force. “I got to get on the starting line and watch her make a killer run in her Monster dragster. I saw that number and knew that she got the top spot. Obviously, we are both hoping to hold onto the top spot through tomorrow night but there are a lot of great cars out here. I was excited to see her make that pass and we’ll see what happens.” Continue reading FORCE SISTERS SWEEP NITRO TOP SPOTS AT NHRA FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS

HOW IS YOUR CAR TODAY AND WHAT IS YOUR OUTLOOK FOR THIS WEEKEND?
“Well, right now it’s pretty good and hopefully later on it will be good. Yeah, that was a wild wreck on the backstretch. Luckily, we were a little late getting out there and that kind of worked into our advantage not getting in that. I hate that for those guys. That stinks. I never figured out what happened was it right-rear tire? Left-rear tire… yeah… so the unfortunate thing is he left the ground. I think that was something we were trying to solve. So, that is kind of unfortunate, but that is probably the fastest part of the track there on the backstretch everything is flat and carrying that much speed you get hit there it’s hard to keep the car on the ground going that fast and where it’s at.” Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–Talladega–Austin Dillon

JAMIE MCMURRAY, NO. 1 DC SOLAR CAMARO ZL1 – Involved in a multi-car accident in final Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice
WHAT HAPPENED?
“I think that we blew a left-rear tire. That is what it sounded like. I heard the tire start to come apart and you are kind a long for the ride. The car, I think, it turned to the right and then kind of back to the left and I obviously was in the front of that draft and then once it starts rolling you don’t have any control. You can’t tell what is up and what is down you are spinning so fast. I was just thankful. Honestly, the whole time it’s flipping I was like, just please land on the right way up so I can get out. You just never know if there is going to be a fire. We literally had only run four or five laps so you know you have a full tank of fuel and so to get out upside down I’ve never done that, but it’s a challenge when you watch guys try to do that. So, I was just thankful that the car landed on all four.” Continue reading Chevy Racing–NASCAR–Talladega–Jamie McMurray

“I think it is superspeedway racing so you’ve just got to stay out of trouble and hopefully keep the No. 88 Nationwide Chevy up front all day. We were really strong in Daytona obviously, we sat on the pole and we were fast all day and ran up front for a good part of the day. I think we can be really strong we’ve just got to keep it up front and stay out of trouble. It’s easy to get caught up in somebody else’s mess here. 2018 Toughest Monster Truck Tour Champions – Larry Swim and BIGFOOT

Pacific, MO (April 25, 2018) – To say that the road to the 2018 Toughest Monster Truck Tour Championship was not easy is an understatement. The season was long and hard, with 26 events over 12 Cities. It was tough on the drivers, the crews, the shop and the trucks!

The 2018 season started off in Rio Rancho, NM with not the greatest results for Team BIGFOOT. We fought king pin issues all Friday night and Saturday afternoon, but, amazing enough, still made it through the weekend. But at that point, we had dug ourselves into a hole, and with the competition at these events, that is a hard thing to come back from! At one point during the season, BIGFOOT was over 40 points behind Team DCT’s Quad Chaos. And anyone that follows the series knows they don’t call Aaron Cain “Big Air” for nothing! Follow A Dream/Permatex TA/FC team reaches Semifinals of Lucas Oil Regional Race in Virginia Follow A Dream – Virginia Lucas Oil race wrap up –Thursday, April 26, 2018 MARSTONS MILLS, Massachusetts (April 26, 2018) – Follow A Dream/Permatex Chevrolet Camaro Top Alcohol Funny Car team owner Jay Blake promised things would get better after the team’s slow start in the first two races of 2018. And indeed that’s what happened this past weekend in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional race at Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie, Va. Blake, driver Phil Burkart and tuner Anthony Terenzio and the rest of the team helped get the car to a semi-final finish. Burkart lost in the next-to-last round to Mathew Gill, but there was no embarrassment, as Gill went on to win the overall race in the AA/Funny Car class. “We tested on Thursday, qualified third on Friday and eliminations were Saturday and we lost in the semifinals,” Blake said. “The results really sound better than we did.” “We struggled with (tire and body) shake all weekend. We’re pretty confident we’ve got it figured out and we’re looking forward to this weekend.” “It’s a common thing with Alcohol Funny Cars. We’re trying to find the right clutch setup.” Now the team prepares for this weekend’s NHRA NGK Spark Plug Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. “I’m hoping for a good weekend,” Blake said. “It’s been a tough beginning of the year but the team’s been working hard, Anthony (Terenzio) has been working hard to fine-tune the car, Phil’s been doing a great job driving the car and the crew has been doing a great job.” “We’re just trying to fine-tune it and hopefully this weekend we’ll be able to round the corner and be able to make some real good runs that we’re happy with.” This weekend’s race will be the second of three events in a row for the Follow A Dream squad. After Concord, the team will move on to another NHRA national event next weekend: the NHRA Southern Nationals Powered by Mello Yello at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia. “We’re 10th in regional points and we’re No. 1 in the All-Star points for the All-Star race in Chicago in June (May 31-June 3),” Blake said. “We’re in the All-Star race, which is great, and we’re proud of that. “As for this weekend and next weekend, we’re hoping to win one of them, if not both of them.” Blake has been his typical busy self off-track as well, having speaking engagements this week in front of more than 800 attendees at the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, N.C., as well as the Davidson County Community College in Lexington, N.C. He expects to do more speaking engagements in the coming weeks as he further spreads his “Five Tools For Your Life’s Tool Box” motivational message to young and old.
