Bristol race report: JFR puts all four drivers
in second round for first time in 2017

BRISTOL, Tenn. – John Force Racing faced hot and tricky conditions Sunday at the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway, but still advanced all four cars to the second round for the first time in 2017:

John Force snapped a three-race, first-round losing streak with the PEAK Coolant and Motor Oil Chevrolet Camaro SS.

BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 17) – The search for consistency continues for Courtney Force and her Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro SS team, even after another terrific qualifying effort on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series tour.

Force qualified No. 4 for the Thunder Valley Nationals this weekend at Bristol Dragway, marking the 35th consecutive race she’s qualified in the top half of the field. PEAK Funny Car driver John Force claims
No. 6 qualifying position at Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 17) – Sixteen-time NHRA Funny Car champion John Force qualified No. 6 for Sunday’s NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway and will face No. 11 Del Worsham in the opening round of the race.

Force, in the PEAK Coolant and Motor Oil Chevrolet Camaro SS, made a pass of 3.983 seconds at 322.96 mph in the second round of Friday’s qualifying, the best of four runs, including two Saturday. Robert Hight’s ‘fun run’ leads strong JFR
contingent on Bristol’s first qualifying day

BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 16) – Robert Hight led a strong trio of John Force Racing Funny Cars in Friday’s two qualifying sessions for the Thunder Valley Nationals at Bristol Dragway, the 11th of 24 races on the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series circuit.

Hight took the Auto Club of Southern California Chevrolet Camaro SS to a run of 3.918 seconds at 324.28 mph for the No. 2 qualifying spot, second only to Tim Wilkerson’s top run of 3.895 seconds at 328.22 mph. Like most of his Funny Car competitors, Hight’s pass came in the second session, negating a first-round pass which saw him overpower the track before the midpoint of the drag strip. Robert Hight takes Auto Club of Southern California Chevrolet to Englishtown semis

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. (June 11) – Robert Hight took the Auto Club of Southern California Chevrolet Camaro SS to the semifinals of Sunday’s NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, the 10th stop of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series schedule.

Hight qualified No. 2 – with a track-record speed – and was among the top three quickest drivers in the first three qualifying sessions. He defeated J.R. Todd and Tommy Johnson Jr. in the first and second rounds, respectively, despite dropping cylinders on both passes. His second pass was still the second quickest time of the session. Courtney Force records Englishtown No. 1, the fifth of season for Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet

ENGLISHTOWN, N.J. (June 10) – It doesn’t matter if it’s a primary car or a spare car, Courtney Force is going to find a way to take an Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro SS to the top of the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Funny Car bracket.

She did it again this weekend, putting a spare car in the No. 1 spot for the 48th annual NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park. Her pass of 3.862 seconds at 331.12 mph set the track record for elapsed time in Friday’s second qualifying session, and with much higher ambient and track temperatures Saturday, no one was able to make a run close to Force’s time. Courtney Force, John Force thankful for Simpson Performance Products after explosion in Epping

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 7) – That Courtney Force was able to walk away from her Advance Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car after a scary engine explosion during qualifying at the New England Nationals last weekend at New England Dragway was a testimony to her John Force Racing car – and the Simpson Performance Products she utilizes.
