Das captures second-place in points battle after successful weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (May 1, 2017)- Inaugural Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda champion Cameron Das of Baltimore celebrated his first victory abroad in the second BRDC British Formula 3 Championship event at Rockingham Motor Speedway in Corby, England, April 28-30.

“It feels really good to get my first win of the season,” said Das. “I knew that we had a strong car but I didn’t expect to get a win quite this soon in the season. HOMESTEAD, FLORIDA (April 10, 2017) – Raphael Forcier of Montreal claimed the second race of the weekend, while Timo Reger of Houston, Texas, scored his second victory as the season debut of the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda concluded Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

HOMESTEAD, FLORIDA (April 8, 2017) – With nine victories, 14 fast lap times and 11 pole positions seized, Cameron Das of Baltimore reigned over the inaugural season of the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda.

To memorialize his historic achievements, SCCA Pro Racing will present the Cameron Das Fast Qualifier Award presented by Pro-Sim to the F4 U.S. Championship competitor who captures pole position during each qualifying round. INDIANAPOLIS (April 43, 2017) – Last minute entries for the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda continue to intensify the competition, increasing the grid to 32 entries for the season debut at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida, April 8-9.

Returning to the F4 U.S. lineup is second-year driver Benjamin Pederson of Copenhagen, Denmark, with Global Racing Group and competing for a partial season under Group-A Racing is inaugural season first runner-up Konrad Czaczyk of Loxahatchee, Florida. John Paul Southern Jr. of Westlake, Ohio, was also confirmed by Jay Howard’s Motorsport Driver Development as its fourth driver. As Formula 4 racing in the United States enters its second season, it is the world that is starting to join the F4 United States Championship. Blake Mount signs with JDX Racing for a second season

INDIANAPOLIS (March 28, 2017) – JDX Racing and Mount Motorsports confirmed that second-year Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda driver Blake Mount of Denver, Colorado, will return to the series in an all-out assault after spending the off-season working with a specialized trainer and nutritionist to improve his on-track stamina.

Mount fills the first of three seats for the inaugural season championship team, sporting the yellow and navy colors of Expedia in the No. 7 Crawford F4-16 chassis.

“We are excited to have Blake back after a successful rookie season,” said JDX Racing team owner Jeremy Dale. “Blake’s off-season work will pay dividends in the highly completive F4 U.S. Championship. Abel Motorsports enters a two-car team for 2017 campaign

INDIANAPOLIS (March 23, 2017) –Abel Motorsports confirmed it will make a campaign for the 2017 Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda with two F4 newcomers Jacob Abel of Louisville, Kentucky, and John Andrew Entwistle of Katonah, New York.

The newest F4 U.S. crew was built from a combination of a second-generation friendship and IndyCar Rookie of the Year Scott Harrington’s Indy Racing League team. Harrington is the childhood friend of Abel Motorsports’ team principal Bill Abel. The Big Three American Motorsport competitor will serve as the team’s driving coach. Parts of Harrington’s former IndyCar crew also made the jump to the formula franchise. Mark Gibbs functions as the team manager and Larry Nash serves as chief engineer. Howard to use 101st running of Indianapolis 500 as learning tool for F4 U.S. team

INDIANAPOLIS (March 15, 2017) – The Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda is a youth-focused, cost-contained series serving as a building block to open-wheel racing for competitors transitioning from karts to cars. Veteran IndyCar driver and Motorsports Driver Development lead principal Jay Howard is encompassing the series mantra with full-force, entering the overall youngest team in F4 U.S.

Howard confirmed his three-car lineup with two of the three entered coming straight from his karting program. Sam Paley, 14, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Max Peichel, 15, of Edina, Minnesota, and Parker Locke, 15, of San Antonio, Texas, round out the grid for the Indianapolis-based team. Global Racing Group signs Justin Sirgany as its second driver

INDIANAPOLIS (March 9, 2017) – The 2017 Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda line-up continues to flourish with its 20th entry coming from Justin Sirgany. The 14-year-old Jamaican filled the second seat for Global Racing Group. The team announced Jacob Loomis of Corinth, Texas, as its first confirmed driver in February.

The second season of the F4 U.S. Championship has seen significant growth over its inaugural year. Sirgany marks the 13th rookie entry as SCCA Pro Racing officials expect 30 or more cars for the season opener at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida, April 8-9. SEASON TWO OF “F4 U.S. CHAMPIONSHIP TODAY” CONFIRMED FOR 2017

INDIANAPOLIS (March 7, 2017) – Just two months after the season one finale of “F4 U.S. Championship Today” premiered, several national and international networks have picked-up season two of the seven-episode show that follows the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda series.

“Carolina Production Group couldn’t be more pleased to get the second season of the F4 U.S. Championship underway. Filming has already started with the first official series test at NOLA Motorsports Park,” said Carolina Production Group’s award-winning motorsports broadcaster and host of “F4 U.S. Championship Today” Rick Benjamin “We’ll be covering all the action for the season two premiere of “F4 US Championship Today”. We know that with the quality of both returning and new race teams, along with a terrific group of young drivers and veterans, the racing will be even tougher! I’m looking forward to hosting the second season of our show and showcasing this important new racing series.”

The full second season will air on national cable and broadcast networks like MAV TV, Rev’N TV, The Action Channel, Tuff TV Network, Altitude Sports and Untamed Sports TV. It will air regionally in Los Angeles on FOTV USA and in Wisconsin on WIFS TV57.

“F4 U.S. Championship Today” will also makes its international television debut in 2017 airing in the Caribbean Islands and Canada on Caribvision.

The networks are available on DirecTV, Dish Network and AT&T U-verse, making the program accessible to millions of households across the United States.

Additional networks, airdates and times for season two will be added at a later date.

The first season of “F4 U.S Championship” gained an estimated 1.7 million viewers per episode.

Season one reruns can be watched Thursdays at 1 p.m. ET on MAV TV or on F4USChampionship.com.

AVONDALE, Louisiana (Mar. 3, 2017) – The second season of the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda kicked-off in The Big Easy during Mardi Gras weekend at NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale, Louisiana, Feb. 25-26 for the first of two official series tests. Eighteen drivers on six teams, eleven of whom were series rookies, participated in the SCCA Pro Racing sanctioned event.

“It was really encouraging to see the turn-out for the NOLA test,” said SCCA Pro Racing Vice President Steve Oseth. “There were a lot of new drivers who got valuable seat-time before the season starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway April 8-9.
