Dominic Scelzi Starts Summer Journey This Weekend at 40th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals

Inside Line Promotions – FRESNO, Calif. (June 5, 2018) – Dominic Scelzi begins his summer session in the Midwest this weekend when he will invade Jackson Motorplex during the 40th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals.

Scelzi and his family owned, Roth Motorsports supported No. 41 are scheduled to compete Thursday through Saturday at the recently reconfigured 4/10-mile oval in Jackson, Minn., during the $40,000-to-win World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event.

“I enjoyed racing at Jackson Motorplex last year and I’m excited to see it now that the track is a bit different,” he said. “The facility is top notch and I see the Jackson Nationals continues to get bigger each season so I’m excited to be able to race there this weekend.”

Scelzi advanced from 13th to eight last July during his debut at the oval. It was the third-most cars passed in the main event.

He enters this weekend with a pair of top 10s during World of Outlaws competition this season, including a fourth-place result in his home state of California in March.

“Our car has had great speed all season long,” he said. “We had a great time with the Outlaws during the California swing and we’ve continued to run strong since. I’m looking forward to testing myself against the Outlaws and All Stars during the next couple of months on the road.”

Scelzi will spend the summer competing at select World of Outlaws, Arctic Cat Circuit of Champions and other marquee Midwest events before following the Outlaws from the Knoxville Nationals to the fall swing along the West Coast.

“We’ve done this the last two years and I think it helps me as a driver and our team as well,” he said. “You have to constantly challenge yourself and race with the best drivers at different tracks to improve. We’ve gotten better each year and I anticipate similar success this summer.”
