What does a final round appearance to kickoff the Countdown say about this race team?
“We are peaking at the right time thanks to our team leadership. (Co-owner) Dustin Davis has done a fantastic job of developing a group of people that works so well together. They genuinely care about what they do. (Crew chiefs) Mike Green and Tommy DeLago are very experienced, and it shows. They are always calm, and nothing ever phases them. They are also uber-aggressive and they want to win. That attitude is reflected through the whole team.”
What do you expect the racing to be like throughout the Countdown?
“I would expect races like today the rest of the Countdown. Whether you are racing guys in the Countdown or outside the Countdown it is a dogfight out there. You better bring your ‘A Game’ every round. I expect a lot of close races with a lot of lethal teams and outstanding drivers.”
What can you say about the crowd this weekend at Maple Grove Raceway?
“This weekend was amazing. There were so many people here. It was a joy to be able to race in front of this many people. I have to tip my hat to the Koretsky family. They did a fantastic job with this facility in a very short amount of time. The NHRA fans are what it is all about. To pull up and see the kind of crowd in the stands is amazing.”
