| EVENT RECAP: Round 6 |
St. Louis proved to be a fun course now that our team has more data on this layout. Setup was dialed and RAD DAN was ready to bring it, he was impressing the judges in practice alone! The track temps were extremely high and running your quality parts on the race car were key. Top 32 opened up with a great battle by Dan and Taylor Hull, both Dan’s lead and chase runs carried him into Top 16 with Alec Robbins. This year, we were able to fine tune the supsension setup on the Supra, this has allowed Dan to be more aggressive in the chase position, SO much fun! We had the car gripped up a little more for Top 16, so Dan was ready to drive it slightly harder. With this adjustment, Dan found himself at a different spot on the track at the wrong time and his rear wheels found the rumble strip causing the car to over rotate… we were bummed to not advance into Great 8 since Dan was doing so well, but overall St. Louis was another successful round as the entire team continues to make progress and become more competitive! Next week, Formula Drift heads to the West Coast. We will be competing in Round 7 at the Street of Long Beach next weekend! |
