The Middle East performance market is in full bloom,
the biggest custom car and bike show in the region
took place between the, where over 23,000 guests
arrived over the three day period in ADNEC – Abu
Dhabi.

The show was a huge success in the region attracting
many individuals and a special guest visit from a
member of the UAE royal family whilst also gaining
strong interest from various media organisations.
Many of its visitors arrived from all corners of the world
to witness the ever growing performance market in
the region, it was a great event and we are looking
forward to the 2017 show.
The show was home to the ‘Engines Battle’ 2016, which
showcased the ultimate Engine Build off between two
teams, ALYASY PERFORMANCE from the UAE alongside
USA’s very own REAL ST. Both teams went head
to head in an epic battle demonstrating their skills and
experience in building the ultimate engine within a
given time with access to a list of performance parts.
Each team were provided with a LS3 Engine, along
with a GMC Sierra truck. The battle consisted of three
stages; the first day we witnessed each team build the
engine using performance provided, the second stage
was installation day, finally on day three each team
went head to head to in the ultimate dyno test to
determine which vehicle had the best average horse
power over 10 rounds. The winning team got to take
home both Engines!!!!!

ENGINE BUILD OFF
DAY1 Both teams had started the build off

At first we witnessed the teams remove the old engine from the GMC Sierra, and began modifcations on the
engine block. Both teams were provided with the same optional performance parts throughout the
competition. We also received a special guest from the UAE royal family who showed his support to the
competitors.

INSTALLATION DAY
DAY2 Day two, the teams were ready to begin installing the engines to the GMC trucks provided. The teams
had fixed the air intake system, headers and cat back system as the day went on. It was the UAE
team who were first to start the engine and complete, after some minor modidification later team USA
had managed to complete.

FINAL – DYNO TESTING
DAY3 The grand finale, both teams were ready to go. After some minor preparations and final checks on
the trucks the competitors were ready to go. The judges consisted of two UAE locals along with one
judge from the USA. It was a close battle where the winner was declared by the highest average
horsepower over 10 exciting rounds
